Charges Against Bridge Shooting Suspect Have Been Dropped

Charges have been dropped in the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge shooting that happened last May.

Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine said Friday, that witnesses to the shooting on the bridge were uncooperative, so charges against Terrece Cox were dropped.

The 24-year-old Cox was charged with second-degree murder, two counts of felony assault and three counts of use of a weapon to commit a felony.

Twenty-six-year-old Shamari Richards died from his injuries and 29-year-old Kevin Jenkins and 19-year-old Jeremy Fejeran were wounded early on the morning of May 29, 2013.

Billy Kellogg was charged with being an accessory to a felony. Kleine says the charge against Kellogg is still pending.
