Man Given Prison Time For Fitness Center Attack

An Omaha man will be going to prison for sexually assaulting a woman outside her fitness class in Omaha last year.

On Tuesday, Douglas County District Judge Joseph Troia sentenced 25-year-old Glenn Nickerson to four to five years in prison for a false imprisonment charge in connection to the June 17 incident outside a Jazzercise class.

Nickerson was also sentenced to two to four years in prison for assaulting two correctional officers at the Douglas County Jail.

The woman told police she encountered a man who appeared to be touching himself as she left her fitness class near 120th and West Center. She said the man grabbed her by the shoulders as she walked to her car.
