Omaha police say a man mowing a lawn was shot late Thursday morning near 42nd and Bedford.  

Sergeant Steve Martinez tells Newsradio 1110 KFAB the man was cutting the grass around 11:45 when someone walked up and opened fire, hitting the man twice.  

The victim ran to a neighboring house to get help.   His wounds are not life threatening.  The gunman ran from the scene and has not been caught.
