A man was taken into custody Thursday morning for his possible connection to a pair of Omaha robberies.

The suspect allegedly stole a pickup at gunpoint in the Hy-Vee parking lot at South 35th and L streets around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. Minutes later, a man was robbed near South 38th and F, though police haven't said if the incidents are connected.

Officers tracked the stolen truck to 48th and L and tried to pull it over. The suspect led them on a chase to 49th and U before getting out and running away. A police K-9 unit found the man nearby.

He was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center to be treated for a dog bite and cold exposure. Once released, he'll be booked.
