A serial rapist who was accused of sexually assaulting five women dating back to 1999 has been sentenced.
43-year-old Anthony Vaughn was given 110 to 140 in prison on four different counts: two counts of first degree sexual assault, one count of attempted assault, and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
In a last-minute deal, he entered a plea of No Contest to two of those counts, one count of attempted assault and a weapons charge. In exchange, two other charges were dropped.
Earlier this year, Vaughn filed a request to withdraw his plea, claiming ineffective counsel; however, that request was denied.
