Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert has delivered her first State of the City address.

The mayor highlighted her efforts to keep the city budget under control and noted that she expects the city to be financially stable in 2014 after ending 2013 with a ten-million dollar surplus.

Stothert added that she wants the city to resurface 180 blocks of neighborhood streets, increase the number of police officers on patrol by 35 and promote further job growth and economic development.
