UPDATE: Police Chief; No Evidence of Abduction Of Missing Teen

Authorities continue to search for a missing 16-year-old girl.

Bellevue police said at a Wednesday news conference that officers are looking for Michaela Wells. Her parents say they last saw their daughter Sunday night as she went outside to take out the trash. A police report was filed Monday night.

Chief Mark Elbert said there's no evidence that indicates Michaela was taken against her will, but it hasn't been ruled out. He added there's no evidence the girl is in danger, and called it a missing persons case.

Michaela's parents say the girl was in a dress coat but left behind her wallet and cellphone. Police are searching the girl's electronics to see if there are any clues to her whereabouts.

She was last seen wearing blue jeans, black slip on shoes, black tank top, teal hoodie sweatshirt and red coat. She's 5 foot 6.5" tall and weighs 120 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Bellevue Police Department at 402-293-3100.
