Tribute flag found at flea market will be returned to soldier’s mother

Posted July 28th, 2014 @ 7:10am

A woman in Houston named Patsy Maciel lost her son Fred in Iraq back in 2005. The Marines sent home his uniform and some of his personal things, but there was a tribute flag that got lost. It had handwritten messages to Fred, from the other soldiers in his platoon. Patsy never knew it existed. But then a few weeks ago someone found the flag at a flea market, bought it for five bucks . . . and tracked Patsy down on Facebook to get it back to her.
