Pro tip: when designing a logo for a school, try not to incorporate anything that looks remotely racist.

Hanover County Public Schools in Virginia unveiled their new logo during a professional learning conference and attendees immediately spoke up. The logo incorporated the swastika in it.

The school says it was an honest mistake. The teacher who designed the logo was trying to represent four hands and arms grasping together as a symbol of unity. Superintendent Michael Gill has apologized for a logo that appeared on the shirts.

Meanwhile the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond and the NAACP are calling for conversations with the school and for hiring a diversity director.
