West Maple Road construction underway

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) Drivers in western Douglas County may find short delays due to a road construction project.

Beginning Monday, drivers will have to deal with various lane closures on West Maple Road.

Crews will be resurfacing the road between Elkhorn and Waterloo along with making repairs to the bridge over the Elkhorn River.

The work is expected to last until December.

In addition to various lane closures, there will be width restrictions on the bridge.

During construction, 230th Street in Waterloo will be closed, and drivers will need to take a detour.

More construction planned for I-480
