Michigan State Releases 'Trigger' Words Students Employees Should Avoid

For the upcoming school year, Michigan State University is telling student employees to avoid what they deem to be 'trigger' words when speaking to customers. A few of these words include:

Don’t “apologize” to customers.

Don’t tell them it’s “no problem” to handle their concerns.

Don’t even use the word “but”!
