To close out the year, Apple Music's editors have awarded highest honors to the artists, who "truly represent the very best of 2018." Kacey Musgves scores Album of the Year for her "Golden Hour." Drake took the Artist of the Year category while the collaboration between Cardi B., J. Balvin and Bad Bunny made "I Like It" the choice for Song of the Year.
Musgraves said about her award, "My favorite release of 2018 was from my husband, Ruston Kelly. His record “Dying Star” is an emotional and sparse conglomeration of influences from all over the map. It sounds like him, but also sounds like Jackson Browne had a musical baby with Elliott Smith and Weezer. I’ve seen Ruston live out and overcome the dark times that inspired the songs..so that makes listening to it even more beautiful." Song of the Year winner J. Balvin said,"the song of the year for me is 'God’s Plan' because of the message and the video, a real and inspiring video.”
