Old Dominion Reveals New Album Is Complete

Old Dominion fans rejoice! The band has announced the completion of album number three.

On Monday (May 20), the band sat down in an interview with People to discuss the new album. As fans know, Old Dominion's last album, Happy Endings, was released almost two years ago in August of 2017.

"It's done, we have turned it in," lead singer Matthew Ramsey revealed. "Now, we're just, like, playing the corporate game of waiting and talking to our record label and trying to plan all that out. If it was up to us we'd have it out today!"

While the band's third album's release date is yet to be known, the group has given fans a taste of what's to come with a handful of singles, including "Some People Do" — which was released earlier this month.

"It's a very personal song for me," Ramsey said in the same interview. "You just get to a point sometimes where it can be overwhelming. For me, that song was very therapeutic to get out of my system and feel like I needed to make some changes. There's a long list of people I've hurt, I'm sure, but you just want to get to those people and say, 'I can be a better person,' and I think a lot of people can identify with that."

Old Dominion is currently traveling North America on the Make It Sweet Tour and will be playing the 2019 CMA Fest next month. The band will also appear on the new NBC show Songland.
