The Salvation Army of Omaha serves those most vulnerable in our community 365 days a year. Our main metro-area programs and services are food, housing, behavioral health, youth development, material assistance, older adult services, anti-human trafficking, and emergency disaster services. The support of the metro community makes all that possible.

Children’s Hospital & Medical Center is the only full-service, pediatric health care center in Nebraska, providing expertise in more than 50 pediatric specialty services to children across a five-state region and beyond. Children’s state-of-the-art Hubbard Center for Children is home to Nebraska’s only Level IV regional Newborn Intensive Care Unit and the state’s only Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. A regional heart center, it also offers expertise in pediatric heart transplantation. Children’s is recognized as a 2021-22 Best Children’s Hospital by U.S. News & World Report in four pediatric specialties: Cardiology & Heart Surgery, Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, Pulmonology & Lung Surgery and Urology.

Founded in 1981 and headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, Food Bank for the Heartland is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a vital focus: to provide food to those struggling with hunger in Nebraska and western Iowa, to ultimately eliminate hunger in the Heartland and to serve neighbors with respect, integrity, and urgency. Food Bank for the Heartland is the largest food bank in its two-state region, serving 93 counties. The Food Bank works with nearly 600 network partners including pantries, schools, churches, emergency shelters and non-profit organizations to supply emergency and supplemental food to children, families, seniors, and veterans. To donate, find food or sign-up to volunteer, visit  their website HERE
