Emotional Support Alligator Causes a Scene at Walmart🐊

Walmart Says “See Ya Later, Alligator” to Emotional Support Gator

Wesley Silva and his 5-foot-long emotional support alligator, Jinseioshi, have been regulars at their local Walmart in West Brownsville, PA—for over three years. Yes, you read that right. A gator. In a dress. In a shopping cart.

Wesley says people usually love it. “We always get, ‘That’s awesome!’ or ‘Cool pet, man!’” he told NBC News. But this time? Not so much.

Walmart wasn’t feeling the reptile love. A spokesperson said, “We welcome service animals, but not ones that could, you know, bite.”

Jinseioshi, who now spends her days lounging in a pool and nights in a bathtub (as one does), is part of a much bigger reptile fam. Wesley’s got snakes, a Komodo dragon, a skink, another gator, and even a dog. He’s also a pastor and a dad of five. His love for reptiles started when his daughter got a snake—and he got a little too attached.

So, while Jinseioshi might be banned from Walmart, she’s still living her best gator life. Just... not in the frozen food aisle anymore.
