Kid Re-Stocks Empty Candy Bowl—Caught on Camera! 🍬

Caught on Cam: This Halloween Kid Gave, Not Took

Sometimes the best moments on Halloween don’t come from costumes or candy—but from character.

A doorbell camera in Broomfield, Colorado, captured a moment that’s now making the rounds online. A group of boys walked up to a house expecting candy, only to find the bowl completely empty. Most kids would’ve shrugged and moved on. But one boy had a different idea.

You can hear one of them say, “Be charitable, guys.” Then a kid—dressed in a hospital gown with a fake rear end hanging out—reached into his own trick-or-treat bag. He dropped in a few handfuls of his own candy, plus a light-up toy, for the next kids who might come by.

Peter Billera, the homeowner, only saw it because his dogs started barking. When he checked the doorbell cam, he caught the whole thing. He was so impressed, he posted the video on Nextdoor hoping to find the boy’s parents:

“Who are this boy’s parents??... This boy took candy out of his own trick-or-treat bag to replenish it so other children could have a Happy Halloween! What a fine young gentleman!”

Peter says he refilled the bowl and would love to give the kid more candy—and shake his hand.

No tricks here. Just a kid with a good heart and a great costume.
